Joseph M. Cunningham, of Port Reading passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 77 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy; He resided in Port Reading most of his life.

Mr. Cunningham was a United State Marine Corp Veteran.

He was employed with Sakel & Son Moving Company in Perth Amboy before retiring in 2002.

Mr. Cunningham was a Communicant of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Port Reading.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Madeline Walsh Cunningham; and a brother John Cunningham.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Angela Terranova Cunningham; five daughters Deborah Caffarelli and her husband Joseph, MaryAnn Zicarelli, Colleen Wagner and her husband Timothy, Donna Zambo and her husband Robert, Jacqueline Szoke and her husband Thomas; a son Joseph M. Cunningham, Jr. and his wife Elisabeth; Eleven Grandchildren Michael and his wife Colleen, Alyssa, Emily, Sarah, Stephanie, Megan, Heather, Kate, Julia, Grace, and Lucy; a great-granddaughter Ava. Two sisters, Sister Marlene Cunningham, and Margaret Cunningham

Funeral will take place Thursday, September 8, 2016 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy wil take place at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Port Reading. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
