Joseph Caputo of the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at home. He was 82 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY; He resided in Iselin for the past 36 years.

He was a Communicant of St. Cecelia's R.C. Church in Iselin, and The St. Cecelia's Knights of Columbus Council #3639

Mr. Caputo was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was President of Caputo International in Edison.

He was predeceased by his first wife Josephine Caputo who passed away in 1978; his parents James and Emma Caputo.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Catherine Cavagnuolo Caputo; his children Vincent Caputo and his wife Christine of Monmouth Junction, Paul Caputo and his wife Jeanette of Manalapan, Amy Caputo and her fiancé Brian Hale of South Amboy, Cathy Ann D'Addario and her husband Salvatore of Howell, Dominic Guido and his wife Laura of South Amboy, and Gary Guido and his wife Sylvia of Edison; a sister Lucille Cunningham of Iselin; two brothers Ralph Caputo of Monmouth Junction, and Louis Caputo of Garden City, NY;   his grandchildren Sara, Alexa, Joseph, Samantha and Amanda Caputo, Adrianna D'Addario, Frankie, Christopher, Barbara, Madison, Silvanna, and Sophia Guido, and Dante Anastario; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will take place Monday, May 16, 2016 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral home ( www.Costello-greiner.com ) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy will take place at St. Cecelia's R.C. Church, Iselin. Interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.

Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
