Joseph Capizzi passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at his home in South Brunswick. He was 71 years old.

Born on February 7, 1950 in Sicily to the late Angela and Giacomo Capizzi, he has resided in South Brunswick for 20 years.

Mr. Capizzi owned and operated Lucky 7 pizzeria in Fords that later became Capizzi's Pizza in Fords and Perth Amboy for many years.

Surviving are his children, Giacomo Capizzi of Los Angeles, CA and Angela Antonella Capizzi and her husband, Benedetto Valpa, of Matawan; sister and brother-in-law Carmelina and Frank Caserio of Colonia; nieces, Gabriella Tiseo and Francesca Kotsakis of Colonia; and five great nieces and 1 great nephew.

Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel.
