Joseph J. Brodowski, Jr. passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Ashbrook Care Center in Scotch Plains. He was 78 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, he was a lifelong resident of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Brodowski was employed as a machine operator with Wilson Jones Company in Elizabeth for many years prior to his retirement.

He was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; and a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph J. Brodowski, Sr. in 1977 and Theresa Cassese Brodowski in 2006; and brothers, Kenneth Brodowski in 1996 and Richard Brodowski in 2005.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Brodowski of Toms River; sister, Marie Christiano, of Avenel; nieces, Barbara Fogarty, Lisa Cooper, Kathleen Brodowski and Lauren Brodowski; nephew, Dennis Brodowski; and great-niece Callie Rose.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Entombment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
