Joseph T. Andrascik, Jr. passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Amboy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perth Amboy. He was 89 years old.

He was born in and a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

Mr. Andrascik and his siblings owned and operated Woodbridge Liquors for many years until 1988. He was then employed by Burmah-Castrol Oil Company in Hackensack and by Shop-Rite of Woodbridge until his retirement.

He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II; and belonged to Middlesex Council 857, Knights of Columbus, Woodbridge and the Corporal Kevin J. Reinhart Detachment of the Marine Corps League in Avenel.

Mr. Andrascik was predeceased by a brother, Francis Andrascik; and a grandson, Mark Hans.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Audrey Catt Andrascik; two sons, Joseph G. Andrascik and his wife, Maureen, of Fords and David Andrascik and his wife, Tracy, of Woodbridge; a step-daughter, Denise Griffiths and her husband, George, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Marie Demoreski, of Sewaren; a brother, Ernest Andrascik and his wife, Thelma, of Woodbridge; three grandchildren, Ryan and Shannon Andrascik and Michael Hans; and two great grandchildren, Zeke and Olivia.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street (at Barron Avenue) Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Lions Clubs International Foundation, Department 4547 Carol Stream, IL 60122-4547 in Joe's memory will be greatly appreciated by the family.
