Jose A. "Papo" Colon passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. He was 55 years old.

Born on July 9, 1966 to Alicia and Teodoro Colon, Sr. in Orange, he resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for many years before moving to Mebane, NC two years ago.

Mr. Colon has been employed as an automobile mechanic with Race Tech in Burlington, NC for the past two years; and was previously employed by NAPA Auto Parts in Colonia for many years.

He enjoyed automobiles, especially auto racing.

Mr. Colon was predeceased by his father, Teodoro Colon, Sr.

Surviving are his mother, Alicia Martinez Colon, of Coamo, PR; siblings, Carmen Colon of Fords, Ismael Colon of Coamo, PR, Teodoro Colon, Jr. of Calhoun, GA and Angelica Rodriguez of Iselin; his beloved girlfriend, Sharon Ernst; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street (at Barron Avenue) in Woodbridge.
