Jorge Alvarado (Papa) age 86 passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was a widower of Sonia Esther Garcia-Alvarado. They shared 31 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Maricao, Puerto Rico, he was the son of predeceased Domingo Alvarado and Rosa Julia Cruz-Alvarado. He lived in Jersey Cilty for many years before he resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for 44 years.
Mr. Alvarado was employed as a supervisor with Sound Design Warehouse in Avenel for 20 years before retiring 6 years ago. Prior he owned a grocery store in Secaucus, N.J. for a few years, worked as a supervisor for a security company in Perth Amboy, N.J. and worked in Wallington, N.J. for over 15 years as a warehouse Supervisor.
Surviving are his children, George Alvarado (spouse) Edna of Chicago, IL., Madeyn Alvarado Segarra (spouse) Israel of Fords, N.J. and Peter Alvarado (spouse) Glady's of Avenel, N.J. Grandchildren, Dedee & Leo, George III & Soli, Vivinia & William, Samuel Jr., Yesini & Giuliano, Desiree & Brian. Great grandchildren, Nadi Rose, Anthony, Malany, Liliana Sonia and Salvatore Luca. Siblings, Dolores, Jose, Hernan, Edwin, Elba, Enrique, Nelky, Myrna. Predeceased brothers Norberto and Melvin. In-laws, Linda, Margarita, Gloria, Silvia, Margarita and Maximiliano. Many loving nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, great grand nephews, great grand nieces, Aunt Consuelo Cruz, uncle Jose Cruz and many cousins.
Daddy you will always hold a special place in all our lives and hearts filled with so many loving memories, you were a blessing to us all. There'll always be a space in our hearts that can't be filled by anyone else. We'll miss you deeply. You gave us the biggest gift of all. The gift of LOVE. You are Home with the Lord. Rest in peace, we love you Papa.
