Jonathan Paul Gonzalez of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at home. He was 30 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Avenel for the past 16 years.

He loved animals, was artistic and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Mr. Gonzalez was a Veterinary Technician at The Sayreville Animal Hospital.

He was predeceased by his father, Carlos Gonzalez.

Surviving are his mother, Zenaida Flores August; his dad, Michael J. August, Sr.; a sister, Stefany Krafchek and her husband, Robert, of Whitehall, PA; a brother, Michael J. August, Jr.; his grandfather, Jaime Flores, of Brooklyn; two nieces, Gabryel and Seraphim; and a nephew, Kendrick.

A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, 244 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.
