John Varga passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home in Menlo Park Terrace. He was 94 years old. Born in Czechoslovakia, he resided in Elizabeth before moving to Menlo Park Terrace 56 years ago. Mr. Varga was a United States Army Air Force veteran, serving in Africa during World War II; and was employed in the inventory control department at Mack Motors in Somerset for 10 years before retiring in 1983. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary Varga; and a sister, Julia Danko. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Helen Verobie Varga; two daughters, Lorraine Motl and her husband Curtis of Katy, TX and Denise Nolan and her husband Ed of Lincroft; a son, Ken Varga, of Menlo Park Terrace; and four grandchildren Ryan Nolan and his wife Annie, Brittany Nolan, AshleyMotl and Travis Motl. Visiting hours will be Saturday from 9:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
