John G. Mocarsky passed away on Friday October 29, 2021 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 75 years old.

Born in Camden, he has resided in Woodbridge for the last 42 years.

Mr. Mocarsky was a graduate of Rahway High School and Middlesex College. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 until 1967 in Rota, Spain; and was employed as a systems programmer with Amerada Hess Corporation in Woodbridge for 40 years before retiring in 2006.

He enjoyed oil painting, gardening, traveling and spending time with his granddaughters.

John was predeceased by his parents, Esther and John V. Mocarsky; sister, Judith Sladek; and brother, Alvin Mocarsky.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Bernadette Florio Mocarsky; son, Matthew Mocarsky, of Lake Hopatcong; and his cherished grandchildren, Alayna, Olivia and Rebecca.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (Costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
