John Marchak of the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Rahway. He was 93 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY; He resided in Colonia for the past 40 years. Mr. Marchak was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was employed as a painter with Richard's Painting in Brooklyn, NY before retiring. Mr. Marchak was a Communicant of St. John Vianney R.C. Church in Colonia. He was predeceased by his parents Stach and Mary Mazurick Marchak; a sister Anna Marchak; two brothers Michael Marchak and Stephen Marchak. Surviving are his wife Sadie Rossi Marchak; two daughters Mary Ann Warshany of Asbury, NJ, and Rose Marie Romanowski of Avenel; a son Stanley Marchak of Deltona, FL; and five grandchildren. Funeral will take place Thursday 9:45 a.m. at COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visiting hours will be Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
