John Lande passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Hampton Ridge Healthcare Center in Toms River. He was 84 years old.

Born on September 18, 1938 to the late Agatha and Johannes Lande in Brooklyn, NY, he resided there and in Delhi, NY before moving to Toms River in 2004.

Mr. Lande was employed as a police officer with the New York City Police Department for 15 years and then owned and operated the Family General Store in Delhi, NY prior to retiring in 2004.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Murphy Lande, in 2006; a brother, Arthur Lande; and his longtime partner Diane Even-Tov in March, 2020.

Surviving are his children, Doreen Lande and her wife, Jacqueline Panepinto, of Colonia and John Lande and his wife, Laura Termini- Lande, of Woodbridge; and grandchildren, Evan, Erik, John and Evelyn.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A committal service will take place on Monday morning at 10:30 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Wrightstown.
