John Rubanick of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 69 years old.

Born in Newark He resided in Avenel for many years.

He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, and was a longtime member of the Rahway American Legion Post #5.

Mr. Rubanick was employed in the Maintenance Department at Atlantic Realty in Woodbridge for 25 years retiring in 2012.

He was predeceased by his Parents John Rubanick and Florence Salsano Rubanick; two Brothers Ronald Rubanick and Richard Rubanick.

He is survived by two sisters Rosemary Rocco of Port Reading, and Diana Rubanick of Easton, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place Thursday evening 7:15 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.Costello-greiner.com ) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
