John Frank Gregus Jr.
May 5, 1960 – September 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Frank Gregus Jr., who left this world far too soon on September 1, 2025, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. In his passing, John continued his lifelong legacy of generosity his family made the courageous choice to give the gift of life through organ donation, saving 3 lives.
Born and raised in Keasbey and Fords, John was a man defined by his love for others, his selflessness, and his unwavering devotion to family. He was happiest surrounded by those he loved, whether it was during family gatherings, summer BBQs, or while proudly watching his children and grandchildren grow.
John's passions filled his life with joy he loved playing the drums, working on cars, motorcycles, and trucks, and had a special fondness for collecting old antique Tonka trucks. He could often be found behind the wheel of his truck, a space that brought him both pride and peace. For more than 40 years, he successfully owned and operated John Gregus Trucking, and he also served his community as a dedicated member of the St. John First Aid Squad.
Above all else, John will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and partner. His family was the center of his world.
He leaves behind his beloved children: John & Donna, Michael & Melissa, and Courtney & Peter. His memory also lives on through his sisters Carol, Joan, and Susan and their families, as well as his treasured grandchildren Gabriella, Madilyn, Michael, Jameson, and Genevieve and his great-grandchildren, Ryan and Giulianna.
John also shared a special chapter of his life with his girlfriend, Lisa, whose love and companionship brought him happiness later in life.
John's love, kindness, and larger-than-life presence will never be forgotten. John… Pop… Grandpa… you were taken from us far too soon, and our hearts ache with the weight of your absence. Though we miss you deeply, we find comfort in knowing your love will continue to surround us. We will feel you in the quiet moments, the laughter of family gatherings, and the little signs you'll send to remind us that you are still near, guiding and protecting us always.
