John Ferguson, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. He was 55 years old. Born in Plainfield, he has resided in Woodbridge for the past 16 years. Mr. Ferguson owned and operated JCA Construction, LLC in Woodbridge for the past eight years and previously owned and operated Woodbridge Karate Academy. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Florrie McLellan Ferguson. Surviving are his wife of sixteen years, Christine Kurceski; two sons, Andrew and Christopher Ferguson; and two sisters, Sandra Mitchell of Easton, PA and Kim Teager of Montgomery Township. A Funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to the family for the benefit of Andrew and Christopher.
