John F. Considine passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division. He was 68 years old.

Born in Newark on October 21, 1953 to the late Anna Engler and Matthew Considine, he resided in West Orange before moving to Cape Coral, FL 13 years ago.

Mr. Considine was employed by NJ Transit, Bus Division for many years before retiring as Depot Master, NY Penn Station in 2007.

He was a United States Navy veteran; and a member of B.P.O.E. Elks, Lodge # 1590, West Orange.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart of 46 years, Mary Rooney Considine; daughter, Melissa A. Considine, and beloved granddaughter Hailey of Woodbridge; son, John Considine and wife Christa, of Cape Coral, FL; sister, Charlotte Puerari and her husband Vincenzo, of Edison; step-brother, Arthur Engler, of Edgewater, FL ; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street (at Barron Avenue), Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Elks Camp Moore, Special Children's Committee in Mr. Considine's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
