John M. Codianni (Butch) passed away due to complications to COVID on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.  He was 46 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, he was raised in Carteret and has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township since 2001.

Mr. Codianni was employed as a Truck Driver with NPD Logistics in Newark for the past 2 years.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Geraldine Zur; and his paternal grandparents, Michael and Theresa Codianni.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Addie Codianni; children, April Lopez ,husband Gio Lopez and Anthony Codianni, of Avenel; grandson, Julian Lopez; mother, Kathleen Zur Codianni, of Fords; father, John Codianni, of Florida; mother in law and father in law, Joanne and Wayne Addie, of Avenel; and his grandmother, Mary Addie of Avenel.

Butch was loved by everyone and will be truly missed.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001. Interment will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday evening from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
