Joan Marie Pastor passed away at her home in Woodbridge on Tuesday August 27, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was 72 years old.

Born on March 10, 1952 in Perth Amboy to the late Nicholas and Lauretta DeMuro she was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

Joan graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1970.  She was a homemaker.  Joan was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother, affectionately known as Nonna. She had many hobbies and interests, including gardening, and baking. She was particularly accomplished in crotcheting, and adorned those she loved with keepsakes that will last forever. She enjoyed her home and sharing her hobbies with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Surviving Joan is her loving husband of 54 years William Pastor Sr.; her children William Pastor Jr. and his wife Tracy of Mooresville, N.C, James Pastor and his wife Angela of Brick, and Marissa Pastor of Avenel; her siblings Thomas Allabaugh and his wife JoAnn of Florida, Joseph DeMuro of North Carolina, Theresa McLaughlin and her husband Tom of Georgia and Nicholas DeMuro and his wife Terri of North Carolina; and her grandchildren William III, Robert, Christopher, Emma, Joey, James Jr., and Ava. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge NJ  07095.  A Prayer Service will follow the visitation starting at 7:30 p.m.  Cremation will be private.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to charities of choice in Joan's memory.
