Jennie DeNittis passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 92 years old. She was born in and a lifelong resident of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township. Miss DeNittis was employed as a computer operator with General Electric, Bird and Son Roofing and Middlesex Water Co. before her retirement; and was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading. She was predeceased by her parents, Matteo and Angelina Pannunzio DeNittis; a sister, Elizabeth Kwiatkowski; and two brothers, Frank Spadafranca and Michael DeNittis. Surviving are three sisters, Phyllis Matchko of Port Reading, Carmella Martino of Port Reading and Margaret Somers of Sayreville; a brother, Ralph DeNittis, of Port Reading; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral will take place on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
