Jennie L. Ciardiello passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division. She was 84 years old. Born in Plainfiled, she has resided in the Port Reading section of Wooodbridge Township for most of her life. Mrs. Ciardiello was employed as cook manager at Woodbridge Middle School for 33 years before retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading. Mrs. Ciardiello was predeceased by her husband, Vincent "Jimmy" Ciardiello, in 1998; three sisters, Rose Verini, Margaret Alexander and Yolanda Diana; and two brothers, Larry and James Esoldo. Surviving are a son, Salvatore Ciardiello and his wife, Janice, of Woodbridge; two grandchildren, Sharon D'Amato and David Skuse; four great grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Erin and Kasey; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
