Avenel

Obituary

Jean Zglobicki of Avenel, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 31 following a brief illness. She was 86 years old. Born and raised in Elizabeth, she graduated from Battin High School in 1956. She later made her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township, where she resided for more than 60 years.

Jean dedicated many years of her career as a hairdresser at Albert’s Salon on Main Street in Woodbridge. She enjoyed getting to know her clients and took great pride in helping them look and feel their best.

Above all, Jean found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She had a love for gardening and also enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with those she loved. An exceptional baker and chef, she was happiest in the kitchen preparing delicious meals and desserts for her family and friends. Her recipes, hospitality, and the love she poured into every meal created countless memories that her family will remember forever. Her Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings were a source of comfort, laughter, and togetherness that will be sorely missed.

More than anything, Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, and the heart of her family. She always put her family first and created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whether it was celebrating holidays, sharing family meals, or sitting around the kitchen table with a cup of coffee. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and precious memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Jean is predeceased by her parents, John and Gilda Drost (Zamorski); her husband, Stanley; son, Jeffrey; and daughter, Karen.

She is survived her daughter, Kim Early and her husband, Bill; granddaughter, Erin Royston and her husband, Steve; grandson, Connor Early and his wife, Sarah; cherished great-granddaughters, Maeve, Vivian and Penelope; niece, Diane Bodzioch, along with many extended family who loved her dearly.
