Jean Squitieri passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Hackensack Meridian Old Bridge Medical Center. She was 89 years old.

Born on January 26, 1933 to the late Grace and Peter Calato in Bayonne, she has resided in Spotswood since 2016.

Mrs. Squitieri was employed as a salesperson with Master's Fashions in Bayonne for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was a predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Squitieri, in 2002; daughters, Debra Petrecca and Mary Grace Squitieri; sister, Gussie Amadeo; and brothers, Joseph, Bart and Peter Calato.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Gutowski and her husband, Stephen, of Spotswood and Michele Nagy and her husband, William, of Woodbridge; sister, Connie Thiel, of Bayonne; grandchildren, Jeanette, Stephen, Dorajean, Nicholas, Anthony and Danielle; and great grandchildren, Lia, Seraphina and Julianna.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
