Jean M. Calise passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Parker at Monroe Nursing Home in Monroe.  She was 90 years.

Born in Hoboken on February 4, 1934 to the late Emma and Albert Bonaria, she resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township before moving to Spotswood.

Mrs. Calise was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; and a member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #2116, Woodbridge.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husbands, Pasquale Massare in 1964 and Ralph F. Calise in 2003; and brother, Albert Bonaria.

Surviving are her sons, Scott Massare and his wife, Prudence, and Mark Massare; grandchildren, Scott Massare, Jennifer Bauer and Nicole Evelina; great grandchildren, Christopher, Dominick, Carmine, Valentina, Liam, Shelby, Mary and Lydia; and great great grandchildren, Steven, Louis and Eric.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel.  Interment will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
