Jason C. Silano of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit.  He was 47 years old.

Born in Pompton Plains, NJ; He resided in Wayne before moving to Port Reading 8 years ago.

Mr. Silano was employed as an Operating Engineer with International Union of Operating Engineers Local #94 at 1407 Broadway in Manhattan for the past 8 years.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Lisa Coleman and her sons Kyle and Ian; two sons Matthew Silano U.S. Navy and his wife Virginia of Cherry Point, North Carolina and Nicolas Silano of Wappingers Falls, NY; his mother Sharon Baker and her husband John of Florida; His father Larry Silano of Florida; his brother Christian Silano of Florida; his sister Jessica Gonzalez of Arizona.

Jay had an infectious personality, who could light up a room and always make you laugh. He was a true fighter who was courageous and never gave up. He always said his greatest gifts were his kids, but everyone else's gift was having him as a part of their lives.
