Jason Lee
Guarracino
August 9, 1975 — October 31, 2024
Rahway
Jason Lee Guarracino passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was 49 years old.
Born in Fountain Valley, CA on August 9, 1975, he resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. Jason was a graduate of Colonia High School and was a decorated Boy Scout who received the rank of Eagle Scout. He was incredibly intelligent with a very high IQ and was a member of the Juggernauts team. He went on to become a computer coder with many prestigious companies, such as Microsoft Corporation and Capital One Bank. His latest position was with Data.World as a Senior Technology Strategist. Jason was a dedicated and valued employee, so much so, that he relocated to many cities throughout the country to pursue his career.
Jason had a big heart and donated to many organizations, such as Toys 4 Tots and Rescue Haven, where he made monthly food donations to the animals. He was one of the most giving human beings anyone was lucky enough to know. As an animal lover, he had many of his own cats and dogs throughout the years that were loved and spoiled, especially his latest cat fur baby, Binx. Jason's love for the outdoors brought him peace and joy. He could often be found taking long walks and rollerblading through Rahway River Park, right outside his door. He shared his love of music and live shows with his friends and sister, Jennifer. There was always a new track that he couldn't wait to play for you. Jay also had an immense passion for cooking and loved nothing more than filling the kitchen with homemade food that he would share with his loved ones, neighbors, and on social media.
He was predeceased by his loving mother, Linda Barr Guarracino, in 2021; his nan and pop-pop, Norman and Etta Barr; and his grandparents, Helen and Pat Guarracino.
Surviving are his father, John Guarracino, of Avenel; his sister, Jennifer Guarracino, of Colonia, her partner, Rod O'Sullivan; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends from childhood. He will be missed tremendously and will never be forgotten.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home. The funeral service will also take place that same day at 7:30 p.m. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, The American Humane Society, etc. in Jason Guarracino's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
