Janina Gerega passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 at her home in Sayreville. She was 77 years old.

Born on February 17, 1949 in Nisko, Poland to the late Jozef and Jozefa Kulczyk, she resided in Linden and the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township before moving to Sayreville 10 years ago.

Mrs. Gerega was employed as a manager with a meat processing plant and furniture manufacturer while in Poland and then owned and operated Quality Cleaning Services in Linden for many years prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed dancing and socializing with friends; played solitaire and traveling.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Michael Kulczyk, in 1985; and grandson, Sebastian Trzaskos, in 2019.

Surviving are her loving children, Krystyna Coyle of New Port Richey, FL and Robert Trzaskos of Avenel; grandchildren, John and Michael Trzaskos and Gabriela and Krystian Coyle; and great grandson, Adrian Trzaskos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Janina on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
