Janice P. Friend passed away on Thursday November 7, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. She was 54 years old. Born in MaGregor, Manitoba, Canada, she resided in Nutley before moving to the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township 14 years ago. Ms. Friend was employed as general manager of Brick Force Staffing in Edison for the past 15 years. Janice, above all, was selfless, strong, motivated, and loving. She was always there to help and bring light to her friends and family. She was consistently a rock star, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her legacy is that of passion, love, dedication and strength. Surviving are her husband of 4 years, Thomas McNeill; two sons, Lucas Krajczewski and T.J. McNeill; a daughter, Kerri McNeill; her parents, Keith and Heather Friend; a brother Kenneth Friend and his wife, Rita; three nieces, Hannah, Megan and Devon Friend; aunts, Janice Lamb and Patricia Leitner; and uncle Steven Leitner. There will be a funeral service on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
