James A. White passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 62 years old. Born in Rahway, he resided in Woodbridge for most of his life. Mr. White was employed with the New Jersey Department of Corrections at East Jersey State Prison for 25 years before retiring as a lieutenant in 2007. He was a United States Army veteran; and belonged to the Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. White was predeceased by his parents Anna and Louis G. White, Sr.; and two brothers, Lewis G. White and Michael White. He is survived by two sisters, Anna "Ginny" Stanton of Woodbridge and Barbara Herman of Piscataway; nieces and nephews, Debbie Jaeger, James Eric Jaeger, Stacey Harrison and her husband, Ken, Michael White and Daniel White; two great nephews, Ricky Jaeger and Michael Harrison; and a great niece, Kelly Opalka. Funeral services are private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
