James Robert Sheehan passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 86 years old.

Born in Newark, he has resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township for 59 years.

Mr. Sheehan was employed as a technician with AT&T Corporation in Newark for 30 years before retiring in 1984.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel; and was a United States Army veteran.

Mr. Sheehan was predeceased by a son, Charles Sheehan, in 2004; and son in law, Butch Dydak in 2008.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, June Waddell Sheehan; children, Diana Dydak of Colonia, Robert Sheehan and his wife, Joy, of Burlington and Eleanor Sawyer and her husband, Scott, of Colonia; grandchildren, Scott, Jaime, Danielle, Christopher, Melissa and Robert; and great grandchildren, Christina, Noah and Sophie.

Funeral services are private under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001.
