James D. Jardonoff passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 82 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, he resided Rahway before moving to Avenel in 1960. Mr. Jardonoff retired in 1996 from Ferdon Equipment Company in Union after 30 years as a welder; and was an avid horsemen. He was predeceased by a son, James Scott Jardonoff, in 1957; and by a brother, Albert Jardonoff. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Isabelle McMurray Jardonoff; two sons, Craig J. Jardonoff and his wife, Debra Ognissanti Jardonoff, of Colonia; and Mark C. Jardonoff of Colonia; a sister, Helen Kovacs, of Hopelawn; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Craig Jardonoff, Jr. A Funeral service will take place on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
