James R. Franceschini of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 74 years old. Born in Newark; He resided in Avenel for the past 41 years. Mr. Franceschini was a United States Navy Veteran. He was employed as a Silversmith Flatware Stamper for Tiffany & Co. in Newark for 23 years and then was a Sheet Metal Setup Operator for various area companies. He was a member of the Colonia Senior Citizens, The Evergreen Senior Center, and The Woodbridge Community Center. He enjoyed camping for many years at The Delaware River Family Campground. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Louise Testa Franceschini; a daughter Diane Blair and her husband Randall of Carrollton, Texas; a son Kenneth Franceschini and his wife Christine of Fords, NJ; three sisters Barbara Whiteman of Succasunna, NJ, Rose Dancsecs of Denville, NJ, and Catherine D'Andrea of Bloomfield, NJ; a brother Joseph Franceschini of Toms River, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral ceremony will take place Monday evening 8:45 P.M. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.Costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private.
