Jaime Garcia, Sr. passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge. He was 93 years old.

Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on June 24, 1932 to the late Carmen and Rafael Garcia, he has resided in Avenel since 1994.

Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Carmen Rivera Garcia; and children, Anna Medina of Union City, Carmen Santoro of Moonachie, Franklin Maisonet of Fords, Nancy Maisonet of Jersey City and Jaime Garcia, Jr. of Avenel.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Alzheimer's New Jersey (alznj.org) in Mr. Garcia's memory, would be greatly appreciated by his loved ones.
