Irene C. Jensen Zeck passed away peacefully with her daughter Barbara at her side on Friday, September 27, 2013 at her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 84 years old. Born in Union City, she resided in Pompton Lakes before moving to Avenel in 2002. Mrs. Zeck was employed as a buyer with the Montclair State University for 25 years before her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Woodbridge. Mrs. Zeck was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Louis Zeck, in 1993. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Schroeck of Cranford, Diane Murphy of Newark and Christine Brown of Wayne; two sons, Steven Zeck of Barnegat and Kenneth Zeck of Hamburg; fourteen grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter. Funeral services will be on Tuesday evening at 8:45 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
