Irene Catherine Robinson (Yurchak) passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 70 years old.

Born in Bayonne, NJ on October 24, 1954, to the late Irene and Stephen Yurchak, she has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township since 1984. Irene was a communicant of Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel.

Irene was a woman of incredible spirit and extraordinary talents. She was a phenomenal cook, creative seamstress, avid reader, genuine friend, and deeply devoted mother and wife. Irene was known by many for her warmth and kindness, her patience and understanding, and her solid consistency and wonderful sense of humor. Irene saw people for who they were and inspired each of her children to be their best selves. She supported every family member in their interests and passions, from soccer to band, to weightlifting. Irene was the one making her children's Halloween costumes from scratch, taking her children to see their favorite bands, and advocating for them to receive the best education.

Surviving are her loving husband and best friend of 51 years, James E. Robinson; children, Stefanie Robinson of Oakland, CA and her wife Abigail Gregor, Jimmy Robinson of Middletown, NJ and his wife Elise Robinson, Mark Robinson of Hazlet, NJ and his wife Liza Robinson; brother, Stephen Yurchak of Bayonne, NJ and his wife Dolores Yurchak; beloved grandchildren, Catherine (Catie) and Emma Gregor-Robinson, Leah Robinson, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Irene's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
