Irene B. Frohlich of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 88 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY; She resided in Avenel most of her life.

Mrs. Frohlich was employed as a School Bus driver for the Woodbridge Board of Education for 22 years retiring in 2005.

She served as the president of The Avenel V.F.W. ladies Auxiliary during the 1970's.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Leo Frohlich who passed away in 1992; two sisters Ruth Behringer and Evelyn Miller; three brothers William, Fritzman, and Floyd "Albert" Miller.

She is survived by a son Glenn Frohlich; two granddaughters May Fritz and Dayna Palmer; three great-grandchildren Brianna Fritz, Jayden Palmer, and Hailey Palmer.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.Costello-koyen.com ) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private
