Irene Dzyak passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. She was 88 years old.
Born in Port Reading, she has resided in Colonia for over 50 years.
Mrs. Dzyak was employed with Morey LaRue in Linden, Damsel Clothing in Carteret as well as with Swift and Costa Ice Cream in Woodbridge; and belonged to Saint John's Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Dzyak, in 1993; three sons, George, Myron M. and John G. Dzyak; a grandson, Richard Ryan Dzyak; three sisters, Dorothy Kruszewski, Anna Rubanich and Mary Kwiatkowski; and a brother, John Rubanich.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Fedzina and her husband, Walter, of Colonia; a brother, Ronald Rubanich, of Port Reading; six grandchildren, Tracey, David, Paul, Alex, Jesse and Matthew; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street (at Barron Avenue) in Woodbridge . A Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John's Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will be in New Saint John's Cemetery, Perth Amboy. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint John's Orthodox Church, 145 Broad Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
