Henry R. Braxton of Woodbridge passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 69 years old. Born in Kent, Maryland; He resided in Perth Amboy before moving to Woodbridge 14 years ago. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam Mr. Braxton was employed as a Bus Driver for New Jersey Transit in Freehold for 27 years retiring in 2002. He was predeceased by his mother Nancy Mildred Barnes; and a sister Nancy Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Evonnie Drinkard Braxton; a daughter Lisa Womack of Dearborn, Michigan; two sons Ken Drinkard and his wife Pamela of Woodbridge, and Henry Braxton, II of Woodbridge; two sisters Irish Barnes of California and Anita Barnes-Edwards of Pennsylvania; five brothers Ernest Barnes, Jr. of Delaware, Charles (Dolby) Smith of NJ, Glenn Barnes of Oklahoma, Michael Barnes of NJ, and Ricardo Barnes of NJ; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; his Stepfather Rev. Ernest Barnes, Sr.; his loving Aunt Hilda Williams. The Funeral service will take place Friday, March 21, 2014 11:00 a.m. at COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
