Helen Taylor passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Rahway. She was 74 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, she resided there before moving to the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township in 1983, and then to Rahway in 2018.

She attended St. Mary's of the Assumption School in Elizabeth from 1st Grade until Graduating from the High School.

Mrs. Taylor was employed as a Secretary with Shering-Plough for 10 years before leaving to raise her daughters.

She was a Loving and devoted mother and grandmother spending many years as a Class Mom for her daughters.

She was a communicant of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Thomas who passed away in 2015; her parents Frank and Helen Tobac Gapch; and a brother Gary Gapch.

She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine Aiello and her husband, Keith, of Marlboro and Helene Taylor and her husband Harris Zambrana of Rahway; brother, Bobby Gapch, of Rahway; and four grandchildren, Kevin Aiello, Ryan Aiello, Kayla Aiello, and Taylor Zambrana.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, Colonia. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
