Helen Nagy passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 90 years old. Born in Elizabeth, she has resided in Woodbridge for the past 65 years. Mrs. Nagy was employed as a paraprofessional with the Edison Township Board of Education for 25 years before her retirement. She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge and enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling. Mrs. Nagy was predeceased by her husband, Charles Nagy, in 2004; and her parents, John and Elizabeth Toth Kosztyo. Surviving are two daughters Karen Ortyl of Sullivan, IN and Lois Hartnack of Fords; a son Lawrence C. Nagy of Woodbridge; a sister, Elizabeth Bedner, of Colonia; four grandchildren Damon Ortyl, Rebecca Smith, Derrick Ortyl and Amanda Hartnack; and three great-grandchildren Hailey Ortyl, Bailey Ortyl and Dylan Ortyl. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
