Helen Nagy Lukacs passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Saint Joseph Senior Residence in Woodbridge. She was 93 years old.
Born in Fords, she was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.
Mrs. Lukacs worked as a welder during World War II for Foster-Wheeler and also worked for Costa Ice Cream, Cornell Dubalar, Sobel Brothers and Merck & Co.
She will be remembered for her good cooking (especially stuffed cabbage), her love of playing the slots, boating and her dogs and cat. Her husband, John, owned Lukacs Marina in Sewaren and owned and operated Lukacs Body Shop for 50 years.
M rs. Lukacs was predeceased by the love of her life, John Frank Lukacs on September 7, 2000; her parents; and wonderful Godparents, Mr. and Mrs. John and Helen Szurko, who raised her.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Carmen.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at graveside at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
Helen looks forward to being together again with her Johnnie.
