Helen A. Kalinowski passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Care One at the Highlands in Edison. She was 87 years old. Born in Carteret, she has resided in Woodbridge for the past 66 years. Mrs. Kalinowski was employed as an administrative assistant in the Purchasing Department at US Metals in Carteret for many years before her retirement. She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge and belonged to the Rosary Society there. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters, AARP and the YNI Club. Mrs. Kalinowski was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Kalinowski; her parents, Rose and Walter Epychin; and brothers, Stanley and Theodore Epychin. Surviving are her beloved son, Alan Kalinowksi and his wife Theresa, of Edison; a brother, Henry Epychin, of Avenel; and 8 lovely nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 23, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. from at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
