Helen Marie Bryant "My Sweet Love" passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 74 years old. Born in Jersey City, she resided there before moving to Woodbridge Township over 50 years ago. Mrs. Bryant received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development from Kean University and was employed as childcare director for several childcare centers for the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy for many years before retiring in 2004. She had previously been employed by CSX Corporation in Port Elizabeth. She was an avid world traveler and reader. Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Russell Bryant; a daughter, Laura McCullough and her husband, Michael Broek, of Little Silver; two sons, William McCullough of Matawan and Steven McCullough of Old Bridge; a step daughter, Melissa Bryant, of Beachwood; a step son, Russell Bryant, of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Hunter, Luke and Ethan Gambale and Emory and Rutger Broek; and the Falconer Family. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. followed by a time of family reflection at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
