Gregory Farano passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at his home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. He was 45 years old. Born in Rahway, he was a lifelong resident of Iselin. Mr. Farano was employed as a driver with Woodbridge Checker Taxi for many years; and loved to cook. He was also lead singer in many bands in the Middlesex county area including Floor 13, Alchemist and Noise Faktor. Surviving are his parents, Delorita Pascoal Farano of Iselin and Michael Farano, Sr. of Toms River; a sister, Diane Hann, of Bartlett, TN; two brothers, Michael Farano, Jr. of Edison and Gary Farano of Iselin; and nieces and nephews, Michael Charles Farano, Nicole Thomas, Brian Hann, Thomas Hann, Branden Farano and Aidan Farano. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.
