Gerard J. Pilutkiewicz passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at his home in Woodbridge, NJ.

He was 70 years old.

Gerry was born on August 31,1953 in Perth Amboy General Hospital to Joseph and Dorothy (Dragotta) Pilutkiewicz. He was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge, NJ.

Gerry graduated from St. Joseph H.S. in Metuchen, received a bachelor's degree from Upsala College, and earned his M.B.A. from St. John's University.

He was an Options Compliance Principal in several financial institutions including The American Stock Exchange, Smith Barney and Prudential Securities.

He served for many years as a Woodbridge Township Republican Committeeman and as a lector at St. James Church. He umpired high school softball and baseball and ran the clock for basketball and volleyball. He also ran the scoreboard for varsity football. Many of his sports activities took place at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Iselin, NJ. He loved sports throughout his life.

Gerry was predeceased by his father Joseph Pilutkiewicz, and by his in-laws Gloria and Luis Espada. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alina Espada, and by his loving mother, Dorothy Pilutkiewicz, both of Woodbridge, NJ. Gerry was a loving and kind husband, son and friend. He will be sorely missed.

Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 8:45am from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home located at 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

A funeral liturgy will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel at 9:30am.

Internment will then take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday July 1, 2024 from 3pm until 6pm at the funeral home.

Masking, while not required, is encouraged.
