Gerard Muller passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division. He was 58 years old.
Born in Red Bank, he was a lifelong resident of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township.
Mr. Muller worked for many years at the A&P Supermarket at Tano Mall in Edison.
He was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading; bowled for many years at Woodbridge Bowling Center with the Pacers Bowling Team; acted with the "Great Pretenders" Theater Group; and was an avid collector of birdhouses.
Gerard was predeceased by his father Francis "Red" Muller, in 1994.
He is survived by his loving mother, Marie Pica Muller; three sisters, Karen Vickery of Port Charlotte, FL, Loraine Muller of Old Bridge and Shirley Skarzynski of South River; two nieces, Tyra Ward and Hannah Skarzynski; a nephew, Gary Joseph Zullo; and a great niece, Katelyn Zullo.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Special Olympics, New Jersey (sonj.org) in Gerard's memory in lieu of flowers.
