Kuzma

Port Reading
George Kuzma of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. He was 87 years old.
Born in Perth Amboy; He resided in Sewaren and Port Reading most of his life.
Mr. Kuzma was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War where he earned the The Korean Service Medal with three bronze stars, The Combat Infanrty Badge, The United Nations Service Medal and the Nationa Defense Service Medal.
He was employed as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk with the United States Department of Defense for 25 years retiring in 1993.
Mr. Kuzma was a member of the Port Reading Senior Citizens Club.
He was a lifelong Woodbridge High School Footbal Fan as well as a devoted New York Giants, Mets and Rangers fan.
He was predeceased by his wife Ethel Tyrell Kuzma who passed away in 1969; his parents Rudolph and Catherine Lorfing Kuzma; three brothers Rudolph, Charles, and Jake Kuzma.
He is survived by a son George Kuzma and his wife Diane of Milltown; two daughters Susan Coleman and her husband Dennis of Gouldsboro, PA and Jill Golden and her husband Robert of Sewaren; Two sisters Ann Miller of Sewaren and Kate Gallant of Old Bridge; three brothers William Kuzma of Port Reading, Robert Kuzma of Sewaren, and Leonard Kuzma of South Amboy;
His grandchildren Anne Coleman , Natasha Gunkel and her husband Rob, Daniel Coleman and his wife Alice, Heather Casey and her husband Joseph, and Robert Golden; his two great-grandchildren Benjamin Gunkel and Jacob Gunkel; and his loving caregiver Elena Olivo.
Funeral services will take place Tuesday, October 30, 2018 11:00 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral home ( www.Costello-greiner.com ) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
Visiting hours will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The NJ Veterans Home at Menlo Park Recreation Department, 132 Evergreen Rd, Edison, NJ 08837
