Obituary

George R. Kipila of Woodbridge passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 74 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ; He resided in Woodbridge Township most of his life. Mr. Kipila was a United States Army Veteran Serving during Vietnam. George was employed as a Chemical Operator for 35 years retiring from C.P.S. Chemicals in Old Bridge in 2002. After his retirement He was employed as a Crossing Guard for Woodbridge Township at Amboy Avenue and Green Street for ten years until June of 2014. He was predeceased by his mother Henrietta Hansen Mihalo. Surviving are his wife of 50 years Mary Cosky Kipila; two sons Jeffrey Kipila and his wife Nicol of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Glenn R. Kipila, Sr. and his wife Jodi of Jackson; two daughters Karen Kutcher and her husband Todd of Howell, and Sharon Christie and her husband Brian of Woodbridge; three sisters Doris Vari of Woodbridge, Joan Karaisz of Port Orange, FL, and Carol Karas of Flemington; fourteen grandchildren Alexis, Hayven, Nicholas, Keriann, Tiffani, Glenn, Jr., T.J., Jake, Emily, Brian, Jr., Patrick, Kyle, Garrett, and Kelcey. Private funeral service with Military honors took place at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Park, Hanover township, NJ.
