Gennaro Commesso of Cranford passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.  He was 82 years old.

Born in Italy, He resided in Long Island before moving to Cranford, NJ 35 years ago.

Mr. Commesso was a communicant of Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Cranford.

He was predeceased by his wife Silvia Guerriero who passed away in 2021; a daughter, Josephine Commesso, in 2007; his son-in-law Gary Guido; his twin brother Nunzio Commesso; and his parents, Carlo and Guissepina Solvino Commesso.

He is survived by his daughter, Silvia Guido of Iselin; son, Carlo of Cranford; three sisters Anna Forcina of Franklin Square, NY, Andrea Commesso of Italy, and Maria Commesso of Italy;  two brothers Tony Commesso of Franklin Square, NY and Joseph Commesso of Ozone Park, NY; his grandchildren Dante, Silvana and Sophia.

A Prayer service will take place on Tuesday December 3, 2024 at 7:30 pm at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers contributions to The American Diabetes Association in Mr. Commesso's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
