Genevieve A. Antonelli of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at home. She was 89 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, she has resided in Port Reading for most of her life.

She was employed in the production department at Wilson Jones in Elizabeth for 30 years, and then as a janitor at School #14 in Fords, before retiring many years ago.

Mrs. Antonelli was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Antonelli, in 1981; her parents, Anton and Mary Grezkowiak Sadowski; a sister, Louise Sadowski; a brother, Leonard Sadowski; and a son in law, Bill Nyers.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorie Nyers, of Port Reading; four grandchildren, Bill Nyers and his wife, Jackie, Nisey Mansfield and her husband, Mike, Richie Nyers and his wife, Christine, and Chrissie Massaro and her husband, John; nine great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brittany, Nick, Mikey, Billy, Justin, Morgan, Jenna and Lindsey; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.Costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sayreville. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
