Gary S. Kuzniak passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. He was 67 years old.

He was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Sewaren until moving to Colonia 20 years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Joseph Kuzniak; and brothers, Richard and Jimmy Kuzniak.

He was a communicant of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Edison.

Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Michele Zudonyi Kuzniak, daughter, Ashley "Swannie" Worden of Colonia and His "Little Man", Weezer; and many cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Gary received his Bachelor's degree from Montclair State University and Master's degree from Trenton State College. He was employed by the Woodbridge Township Board of Education as a Teacher, Coach, Mentor, and Principal over the course of his 40 year career. Upon retirement he was employed by the NJPSA in Monroe.

During his career, Gary was a long time Football Coach at JFK and Assistant Coach at WHS, where he helped the team win 2 State Championships. He was also an Assistant Softball Coach at JFK and WHS.

He was a Head Wrestling Coach at JFK – 2 times Bicentennial Conference Champs and lead the first school in Woodbridge Township to go to Team Sectionals. He later helped WHS Wrestling team to District 19 Champs.

Gary was a New Jersey Wrestling Official for 25 years, and a Past President of Central Jersey Chapter NJWOA.

Gary was a former member of the Woodbridge Elks 2116. He currently was a member of the Knights of Columbus Port Reading Council 5809, and the Moose Lodge of Ortley Beach 399.

Gary was an avid Giant and Yankee fan. He enjoyed being a part of the BBC. He loved to spend time down the shore in Lavallette with his family and friends, he lived life to the fullest, traveling, playing horseshoes, pinochle, and enjoyed going out to dinner having a martini. Gary was a Gentle Giant that was loved by many and touched so many lives.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 1-5pm at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-grenier.com ), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will take place Wednesday, February 3, 2021 10:00am at St Helena Catholic Church, Edison. Cremation will be private.
